Aluminum in the Midlands

Aluminum is the low-fuss fence for the Midlands.

  • Humidity. Aluminum does not rust, and the powder coat is baked on.
  • Heat. Summer heat does nothing to it.
  • Wind. Open pickets let storm wind through, so the panels carry less load than a solid fence, and the posts are set in concrete to hold the line.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does racking mean?add

The panel flexes so the pickets stay vertical while the rails follow the slope. The alternative is stepping the panels level, which leaves triangular gaps underneath.

Does the Cannon meet pool code?add

Catalyst names the puppy picket for pool perimeters. Pool barrier code turns on height, gaps and gate hardware, so we check the code for your address and specify a height and gate that meet it before anything is ordered.

How tall is the Cannon?add

Four feet. It is offered at one height, in a flush bottom build.

What is a 2 rail aluminum fence?add

The Cannon is a modern flat-top picket built to follow the ground: it racks with the grade instead of stepping across it. The Cannon is Catalyst Fence Solutions' version of it, and Chonko Construction installs it across Columbia and the Midlands under one written contract.

What heights does the Cannon come in?add

4 ft. We match the height to the job: privacy and pool code want the taller end, a front-yard boundary usually wants the shorter.

Can the Cannon be installed on a slope?add

Yes. On a grade we rack or step the panels so the fence follows the slope and stays level, and we show you which approach fits before any post is set.

Which colors does the Cannon come in?add

2 colors: Black, Bronze. Ask which are quick-ship, because it changes the start date.
