Powder-coated smooth- Four-inch picket spacing
Wider than a containment picket and tighter than a rail, which is what gives it the formal proportion.
- A heritage profile
Catalyst's own framing: a tribute to historic neighborhoods encircling the capital.
- Spear tops
Every detail page for this style shows a spear top, which is the finish the profile is known for.
- An optional add-on panel
Catalyst names it for pet owners, closing the lower gaps without changing the fence.
- No visible hardware
The NoVis™ hidden fastener system locks the panels together on level and sloping ground without visible screws.
- A finish that is baked on
Every aluminum component is powder coated before assembly, so there are no bare spots, and SolarGuard® keeps the color from fading.
- Made by Catalyst, installed by us
Catalyst Fence Solutions manufactures the Georgetown, and the image above is its product visualization, not a photograph of a Chonko Construction job. We are the installing builder.
The Georgetown is offered in one color.

Heights 3, 4, 5 and 6 feet, in two, three and four rail builds by height. Catalyst lists additional finishes through a sales representative.
- checkPanel widths. 6 and 8 feet. Walk gates and drive gates are built to match the panel, and we set post depth and spacing to the height you choose.
Pick the Georgetown when the fence should look like it has been there.
The proportion is the point, and it suits an older house better than a contemporary picket.
Four-inch spacing keeps the fence open enough to see the garden through it.
Six feet in a heritage profile, where most ornamental styles stop shorter.
- air
A matching white picket. Catalyst pairs the Georgetown spear top with the Cape Cod for a coordinated front and back.

Three finials. Triad, Quad and Fleur-de-lis finials sit on the post in place of a flat cap.
- straighten
Rail adornments. Butterfly scrolls and circles mount into the rails themselves, which is what separates a decorative aluminum run from a plain one.
- check_circle
The solar cap lights the line. Catalyst's Solar Post Cap puts off-the-grid landscape lighting on the posts, with no wiring to run.
- check_circle
Pick it with the style. The cap is the part of the fence you see at eye level from the house. We price the caps with the panels, so it is one number rather than a change order later.
For the Georgetown, the number moves with linear footage first, then the height you choose (3 to 6 ft), the gates, and the ground the posts go into. The full breakdown of what moves an aluminum fence price is on the aluminum fence page; we set the exact figure in writing after we walk the property.
Want real numbers? Our aluminum fence cost guide breaks down what an aluminum fence runs per linear foot in the Midlands, and the all-materials fence cost guide compares it to the other fence types. Whatever your number, it is set in the contract before any post hole is dug.
Warranty and Who Installs It
Two warranties cover a Georgetown we install.
Catalyst backs its fence with a transferable limited lifetime warranty; the warranty document carries the terms.
Chonko Construction is a licensed home builder, license #52210, and the installation carries our named workmanship warranty.
Licensed South Carolina home builder, SC Residential Builders License #52210. One contract covers the panels, the posts, the gates and the installer.
Aluminum in the Midlands
Aluminum is the low-fuss fence for the Midlands.
- Humidity. Aluminum does not rust, and the powder coat is baked on.
- Heat. Summer heat does nothing to it.
- Wind. Open pickets let storm wind through, so the panels carry less load than a solid fence, and the posts are set in concrete to hold the line.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is 4-inch spacing enough to hold a dog?add
For a larger dog, usually. For a small one, no, which is why Catalyst offers the add-on panel for pet owners. We size it to the dog on the call.
Does the Georgetown meet pool code?add
Catalyst makes no pool-code claim for this style, and 4-inch spacing is wider than most pool barrier codes allow. Pool barrier code turns on height, gaps and gate hardware, so we check the code for your address and specify a height and gate that meet it before anything is ordered.
How many rails does it have?add
It depends on the height: two rails at 3 feet, three at 4 and 5 feet, four at 6 feet.
What is a aluminum estate fence?add
The Georgetown is a stately picket on 4-inch spacing, modelled on the fences of the historic neighborhoods around the nation's capital. The Georgetown is Catalyst Fence Solutions' version of it, and Chonko Construction installs it across Columbia and the Midlands under one written contract.
What heights does the Georgetown come in?add
3 to 6 ft. We match the height to the job: privacy and pool code want the taller end, a front-yard boundary usually wants the shorter.
Can the Georgetown be installed on a slope?add
Yes. On a grade we rack or step the panels so the fence follows the slope and stays level, and we show you which approach fits before any post is set.
