Powder-coated smooth- Scratch and weather resistant
Catalyst calls out a seamless application of weather and scratch-resistant powder coating, which is the finish doing the work.
- Pool and play areas
The style's stated purpose: surrounding a pool, a play area or an outdoor space.
- Flush bottom option
Available at 42 inches, 4 feet and 54 inches, closing the gap under the fence.
- Three colors including matte
Black, Bronze and Matte Black, which is a finish most styles do not chart.
- No visible hardware
The NoVis™ hidden fastener system locks the panels together on level and sloping ground without visible screws.
- A finish that is baked on
Every aluminum component is powder coated before assembly, so there are no bare spots, and SolarGuard® keeps the color from fading.
- Made by Catalyst, installed by us
Catalyst Fence Solutions manufactures the Princeton, and the image above is its product visualization, not a photograph of a Chonko Construction job. We are the installing builder.
The Princeton is offered in one tier and three colors.

Heights 3, 3 1/2, 4, 4 1/2, 5 and 6 feet; the flush bottom comes in 42 inch, 4 foot and 54 inch heights only.
- checkPanel widths. 6 and 8 feet. Walk gates and drive gates are built to match the panel, and we set post depth and spacing to the height you choose.
Pick the Princeton when the fence sits around something you use.
Catalyst's stated purpose. We confirm the height, the spacing and the gate against the code for your address.
Flat top, no finials, nothing to catch on.
Matte Black reads softer than gloss against a modern house, and it is offered in this style.

More decoration. Augustine adds spear tops to a similar profile.

Three aluminum caps. Flat Top, Ball and Solar.

Three finials. Triad, Quad and Fleur-de-lis finials sit on the post in place of a flat cap.
- straighten
Rail adornments. Butterfly scrolls and circles mount into the rails themselves, which is what separates a decorative aluminum run from a plain one.
- check_circle
The solar cap lights the line. Catalyst's Solar Post Cap puts off-the-grid landscape lighting on the posts, with no wiring to run.

Pick it with the style. The cap is the part of the fence you see at eye level from the house. We price the caps with the panels, so it is one number rather than a change order later.
For the Princeton, the number moves with linear footage first, then the height you choose (3 to 6 ft), the gates, and the ground the posts go into. The full breakdown of what moves an aluminum fence price is on the aluminum fence page; we set the exact figure in writing after we walk the property.
Want real numbers? Our aluminum fence cost guide breaks down what an aluminum fence runs per linear foot in the Midlands, and the all-materials fence cost guide compares it to the other fence types. Whatever your number, it is set in the contract before any post hole is dug.
Warranty and Who Installs It
Two warranties cover a Princeton we install.
Catalyst backs its fence with a transferable limited lifetime warranty; the warranty document carries the terms.
Chonko Construction is a licensed home builder, license #52210, and the installation carries our named workmanship warranty.
Licensed South Carolina home builder, SC Residential Builders License #52210. One contract covers the panels, the posts, the gates and the installer.
Aluminum in the Midlands
Aluminum is the low-fuss fence for the Midlands.
- Humidity. Aluminum does not rust, and the powder coat is baked on.
- Heat. Summer heat does nothing to it.
- Wind. Open pickets let storm wind through, so the panels carry less load than a solid fence, and the posts are set in concrete to hold the line.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Princeton pool code compliant?add
Catalyst builds it for pool areas. Pool barrier code turns on height, gaps and gate hardware, so we check the code for your address and specify a height and gate that meet it before anything is ordered.
What is the flush bottom for?add
It drops the pickets closer to the ground so there is no gap under the fence, which matters around a pool and with small pets. It comes in three heights only.
What is the difference between Black and Matte Black?add
The sheen. Both are powder coated to the same standard; matte reflects less, which reads softer on a modern exterior.
What is a aluminum pool fence?add
The Princeton is a sleek flat-top picket with a scratch-resistant powder coat, built for pool and play areas. The Princeton is Catalyst Fence Solutions' version of it, and Chonko Construction installs it across Columbia and the Midlands under one written contract.
What heights does the Princeton come in?add
3 to 6 ft. We match the height to the job: privacy and pool code want the taller end, a front-yard boundary usually wants the shorter.
Can the Princeton be installed on a slope?add
Yes. On a grade we rack or step the panels so the fence follows the slope and stays level, and we show you which approach fits before any post is set.
Which colors does the Princeton come in?add
3 colors: Black, Bronze, Matte Black. Ask which are quick-ship, because it changes the start date.
