Warranty and Who Installs It

Two warranties cover a Folly we install.

Manufacturer warranty

Catalyst backs its fence with a transferable limited lifetime warranty; the warranty document carries the terms.

Named workmanship warranty

Chonko Construction is a licensed home builder, license #52210, and the installation carries our named workmanship warranty.

Installed by Chonko Construction

Licensed South Carolina home builder, SC Residential Builders License #52210. One contract covers the panels, the posts, the gates and the installer.

Vinyl in the Midlands

Vinyl suits South Carolina's climate.

  • Humidity. It does not rot, and termites have nothing to eat.
  • Sun. UV-stabilized panels resist the fading and yellowing strong Carolina sun causes over time.
  • Wind and storms. Set on properly spaced posts in concrete footings, a solid panel carries Midlands storm wind.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will a Folly keep a dog in the yard?add

At the right height, yes. The narrow gap between pickets stops most dogs, though a small breed or a determined digger is a conversation about height and about what happens at the ground, which we cover on the call.

Can I get the Folly in white?add

The Folly comes in the four TimberGrain blends. If you want a white picket, the Rockport and Cape Cod are white by design.

Does the Folly meet pool code?add

Catalyst makes no pool-code claim for it. Pool barrier code turns on height, gaps and gate hardware, so we check the code for your address and specify a height and gate that meet it before anything is ordered.

What is a semi privacy vinyl fence?add

The Folly is a semi-private picket panel: 3-inch-wide vertical pickets set with a narrow, even gap, so most of the screen is there and light still comes through. The Folly is Catalyst Fence Solutions' version of it, and Chonko Construction installs it across Columbia and the Midlands under one written contract.

What heights does the Folly come in?add

4 to 6 ft. We match the height to the job: privacy and pool code want the taller end, a front-yard boundary usually wants the shorter.

Can the Folly be installed on a slope?add

Yes. On a grade we rack or step the panels so the fence follows the slope and stays level, and we show you which approach fits before any post is set.

Which colors does the Folly come in?add

4 colors: Weathered Blend, Sierra Blend, Brazilian Blend, Arctic Blend. Ask which are quick-ship, because it changes the start date.
